Would Be Robber Scared Off By Jesus Chant

Lake City, FL – A normal evening for a group of 15 women having a jewelry party, turned into robbery.

Derick Lee, age 24, entered the home of Jacquie Hagler, with a gun wearing a ski cap and a bandana and demanded them to give him their money. One antendee said, “It’s only a water gun,” and brushed it away. It wasn’t until he showed them the bullets did he convince them the robbery was real.

But what he didn’t know was, this wasn’t just a regular group of women, but women with the power of JESUS!

“When I realized what was going on, I stood up and said, ‘In the name of Jesus, get out of my house now.’ And he said, ‘I’m going to shoot someone.’ And I said it again, real boldly,” Hagler said. “Everybody started chanting, ‘Jesus, Jesus, Jesus,’ and he did a quick scan of the room, and ran out the door as fast as he could go.”

In an interview with the Christian Post Hagler said, “I believe he saw angels, he saw who was on our side, and he just turned around. The look on his face was just, like, astonishment. He was totally captivated by whatever he saw. He just turned around and ran out the door.”

Derick Lee was arrested at his home Friday night and was identified by the women at the party in a photo lineup. Lee is now held on a $200,000 bond.
